Launch of the University of Exeter Press Series “TV Philosophy”
Exeter is delighted to announce a new series edited by Sandra Laugier (University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne).
To underline TV’s coming of age, this new philosophy series puts TV centre-stage to new investigations of how we think, feel and interact in daily life. It acknowledges the lessons of Cavell's philosophical view of popular culture, but seeks to establish TV-Philosophy as an autonomous field, teasing out particularities of the TV experience. To initiate the series, we welcome explorations of particular TV series formats, such as dystopian fiction, family drama, security series or political thriller.
